The Professionale is handcrafted in Brescia, Italy, with a full-grain K-leather upper. Its appeal is simple: lightness, suppleness and a close feel on the ball.
A little care helps preserve that feel. Remove the dirt, let the boots dry naturally, and condition the leather sparingly when it needs it. A few simple habits help keep the upper flexible and in good condition through regular play.
What is K-leather?
K-leather is kangaroo leather. Its naturally thin structure offers high strength at a low weight, making it well suited to football boot uppers. It allows for a light layer of leather between your foot and the ball.
In the Professionale, that leather is paired with a classic fold-over tongue and variable-width lacing. The laces let you adjust the fit across the foot, while the supple upper flexes with your movement.
Why leather care matters
Football asks a lot of an upper. It flexes through every touch, turn and strike, often in wet or muddy conditions. Care helps maintain the leather’s condition through that repeated use.
Drying deserves particular attention. Direct heat can leave leather dry and stiff, making it more prone to cracking. A damp pair left zipped inside a kit bag has little opportunity to dry properly. Giving your boots time and airflow after a game is one of the simplest things you can do for them.
The Professionale’s upper is water repellent. It still needs to dry properly after wet conditions.
After the final whistle
Use a soft brush or cloth to remove loose dirt from the upper. For marks that remain, wipe gently with a damp cloth. A small amount of mild soap can help with more stubborn dirt; remove any residue with a clean, damp cloth. Keep cleaning gentle and avoid soaking the boots.
Open the laces and tongue, then leave the boots to air dry at room temperature. Loosely placed absorbent paper can help draw out moisture and support their shape. Replace it if it becomes wet.
Keep them away from radiators, hair dryers and direct sun while drying. Once dry, store them somewhere cool and ventilated, ready for the next session.
Condition lightly
Occasional conditioning helps keep leather supple. Once the boots are clean and dry, apply a small amount of conditioner suitable for the leather’s finish, following the product’s instructions. Test it on a small, less visible area first.
Use it sparingly. Too much conditioner can leave the leather overly soft and affect its structure. Conditioning should respond to the leather’s condition and how the boots are used, rather than become something you automatically do after every game.

Made to be worn
Creases and surface marks are part of wearing leather boots. Care helps preserve the material as the pair becomes familiar, keeping the upper clean and supple through regular use.
How a pair wears also depends on fit, frequency of play and the surface underfoot. The Professionale is designed for natural grass. Using it on its intended surface and giving it time to dry between sessions helps you look after the whole boot.
